Impact sports like volleyball or rugby can boost bone density, while endurance sports like running or cycling may lower it.

But this is not to discourage our runners, swimmers, triathletes… After all, exercising is always good for you. You can add strength sessions to your routine and reap even more benefits than just increasing your bone mass, and maintain a well-balanced diet to ensure you get the right nutrients.

Girls literally just wanna have fun!

A recent survey by The Youth Sport Trust @youthsporttrust showed that girls aged 7-18 want to participate in sports and physical activity to have a good time with their friends.

However, a lack of confidence significantly decreases their enjoyment of PE: 86% of 7-8-year-old girls say they enjoy those classes, while 56% of 14-15 say the same.

By building girls' confidence around physical activity, we can tackle some of the main barriers they face to staying in sports and encourage them to remain active throughout their lives.
