Are women who play sports more successful?

We can’t really say that, but research conducted by @ey_global over three years found an interesting link between sports and women in the C-suite.

The goal was to understand what the connection is between sports and the professional lives of women. They found that a staggering 94% of women in the C-suite had a sports background!

Benefits of sports go way beyond physical and mental health. Sports help with the development of social, emotional and moral skills, resilience, teamwork, connecting with a community, and gaining confidence - that are all also beneficial in the workplace.

So, in case you needed yet another reason to encourage young girls and other women to do sports… There you go 😉

As our CEO Baz Moffat said, “there has to be a real specific focus, and we also have to have a workforce around these girls to actually understand their bodies.”

As a society, we can do so much better by supporting girls and women in sports - encouraging them to move when they’re young, and creating the right environments for them to be active in all stages of their lives.
