Consultancy

We partner with organisations and brands in sport, fitness, education and consumer health to instigate system change

System change = when, not if

We support organisations before, during and after major transformational projects. No two journeys are the same so let’s talk about yours.

People development

Knowledge is only useful when it is actionable. Our training programmes bridge the gap between research and real-world application, creating positive impact for girls and women.

Bespoke course creation

Custom-built educational resources and training for every sport and lifestage. Developed from decades of experience and science-based evidence in women’s health.

Strategy & system change

We plan and implement sustainable change, designing environments that help women and girls to thrive and position your organisation as a world leader in equity and equality.

Research and insights you can use

Surveys, investigations and data projects upon which your sport and / or business can build.

Tailored guidance and policies

Female health topics made relevant to the girls and women in your organisation.

Our work

From flagship system change projects in sports to helping brands use their reach and power for good, here’s a small sample of recent work with so much more besides …

FootballHer

There’s nothing else like it in the world. Built on unique research, FootballHER is a flagship project in UK women’s football to empower changemakers and establish a whole new system from elite to grassroots level.

NetballHer

Launched early 2023 alongside England Netball, this first-of-its-kind platform bridges online and off and has rapidly evolved into the go-to health resource and support system for netballers at all life stages.

British Cycling

A critical female health education for coaches working with young riders, plus a train-the-trainer programme arming development managers with tools to build participation and stem dropout.

Adidas

‘It’s Time to Talk.Period’ is a pioneering Breaking Barriers Academy course to normalise menstrual health conversations. Related workshops are being delivered to Adidas athletes in several countries.

Always

“Master Your Menstrual Cycle” is an initiative for girls age 10-14; to demystify the menstrual cycle and put it to work in sport and life. Activation saw 40 charities and grassroots clubs assemble in London.

Government report

The Well HQ have been consulting with government on multiple gaps in where women’s health and sport meet. Parliament paper Health barriers for girls and women in sport called us out as the go-to solution no fewer than 14 times.

We recommend the DCMS and DfE establish a taskforce, including UK Sport, the UK Sports Institute, women’s health and fitness experts including The Well HQ … to develop a long-term strategy to tackle sportswomen’s health and physiology-related issues.

We have valued the experience and expertise TWHQ has brought to our work at British Cycling. Our TWHQ truly understands teenage girls and the world in which they live. It’s all scientifically backed, but more importantly, they know how to make it really accessible and practical. Working with them was really insightful, and the end result has landed brilliantly with our audiences.
